Bats are really interesting creatures. Some will choose to reside here all year long and others will migrate South for the winter and come back to our area as it warms up. They are nocturnal and therefore hunt for food at night. This is when most homeowners will notice they have taken up residence in their home. They just happen to be out at night and see them coming out of an area of their home, or they may see bat droppings or guano or dark spots on their houses or hear the chirping and rustling sounds of them in a soffit or eave or under some siding.
Once inside an area of your home, bats have a wonderful ability to enter in a small area but spread out and can sometimes be down the sides of entire walls or even make their way up to the attics. There can even be multiple colonies of bats in the same home. Unfortunately, bat droppings or guano can spread diseases to humans. Bats can also carry rabies and can bite.
Here’s how we can help. We will do a full inspection of the attic of your home. This will allow us to confirm the issue is bats and to see if the bats have made it into the attic. We can also see if there is any clean up to do in your attic if there are bats in the attic.
Our inspection will then proceed on the outside of the house. We will identify how they are getting into the home and what we can do to keep it from happening and how to get out the animals that have already gotten in. Then, we will sit down and go through our plan of action with you and set a day and time for us to come back and get it done. Don’t worry! We can do that in most cases on the same or next day.
